Dear Valued Encorp Brandowner: As part of the Appointment Agreement for Encorp to act on your behalf to fulfill the Recycling Regulation of BC, Encorp requires all brandowners to provide an independent audit of their sales on an annual basis. According to Section 8 (2) of the Regulation, the report referred to in subsection 8 (1) (a) must include independently audited financial statements detailing (i) all deposits received and refunds paid by the producers covered by the appropriate plan, Appointing Encorp Pacific (Canada) as their agent under the Recycling Regulation does not eliminate the producers’ responsibility to have their sales report externally audited. In fact, Encorp is required to produce externally audited statements on behalf of all brandowners/producers it represents. The period of this audit schedule will cover from January 1, 2009 to December 31, 2009 with a listing of unit charges by container type. An option exists if you wish to report based on your company’s recent fiscal year-end period. Please submit your report before April 1, 2010.
